The Offspring guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman has announced that he is temporarily stepping away from live performances to address a serious health issue.
In a statement shared on The Offspring’s social media accounts, Noodles explained that he needs to take time away from touring but hopes to return to the stage as soon as possible.
“It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performances for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue,” he wrote.
“The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart.”
He concluded by thanking fans for their support, adding, “Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it.”
Noodles did not disclose further details about his condition or provide a timeline for his return.
The guitarist has been a member of The Offspring since 1985, performing on the band’s studio albums and becoming a longtime fixture of their live lineup.
According to his statement, The Offspring plan to continue performing during his absence. The band has not yet announced who, if anyone, will fill in for Noodles on guitar.
