Here’s more info from a press release:
“On its twentieth anniversary, the main band of the St. Petersburg alternative scene Jane Air returns to the informational musical space with a full-fledged release. “Myelofon” is the band’s eighth full-length album, full of vivid images, ironic allegories and bold musical solutions. Eleven original plots, flirting with either mythology or science fiction, reveal their secrets to the attentive listener in a recognizable author’s metaphorical manner.
The main concept was kept in the style of alternative rock, turning into grunge, post-punk and, of course, touching the experimental electronics with the crumpled wing of the car. Justified eclecticism added power and thoughtful beauty to the album. The team had an individual approach to each track, almost surgical work with sound was carried out, drums for each song were written in different studios in the city. As a result, the disc confidently embraces and elegantly wraps the full range of human emotions into wave vibrations, from the lingering calmness of the observer to unbridled fun and justified rage. The tracks will perfectly listen both in playlists and in a single concept of a common album plot.
This fall, after the presentation at the St. Petersburg club “Cosmonaut” on October 2, the Jane Air group goes on tour in support of the new album and will play their best tracks. Including the main hit of the twentieth anniversary of JUNK, which flew this year on the soundtrack of the series “The Boys”.”
