Metallica rock Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett: photos

Metal legends Metallica delivered a rare, intimate show at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, NY, on August 28th. The set included fan favorites like “Master of Puppets,” “Enter Sandman,” “Fade to Black,” and “Seek & Destroy,” along with a special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with a performance of his classic “Crazy Train.”

In addition to the lucky fans who scored entry to the exclusive event, the crowd was packed with celebrities, including Howard and Beth Stern, Paul and Nancy McCartney, Andy Cohen, Colin Jost, Heidi Gardner, Michael J. Fox, Ed Burns, Chris Jericho, Maria Menounos, Sylvester Stallone, Chad Smith, and more.

Metallica’s Long Island performance was held in celebration of the launch of their new “Maximum Metallica” channel, which debuted today, August 29th, on channel 42 in SiriusXM-equipped vehicles and is also available for streaming on the SiriusXM app. The band’s full Stephen Talkhouse set will premiere Monday, September 1st, at 12:00 pm ET.

“The one-of-a-kind show brought the intensity and power of Metallica’s stadium-filling M72 World Tour to one of the most intimate settings they have played in decades, for a lucky audience of SiriusXM subscribers,” stated SiriusXM, who also provided the photos below.

SiriusXM added, “Metallica live at Stephen Talkhouse will rebroadcast throughout the week on air on Maximum Metallica (ch. 42) and will be available on the SiriusXM app. Additionally, the full concert will air on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM channel Howard 101 on Friday, September 5 at 7:00 pm ET and PT.”
