Symphonic metal veterans Kamelot have released “Godlike Alchemy,” the second single from their upcoming studio album, Dark Asylum, due out August 28 via Napalm Records.
The new track is accompanied by an official lyric video created by Abysmo Films and offers another preview of the band’s next full-length release.
Vocalist Tommy Karevik said “Godlike Alchemy” reflects the album’s central theme, exploring the idea that people may already possess the strength and potential to shape their own lives without searching for fulfillment elsewhere.
“This song encapsulates the overarching theme of the Dark Asylum. What if you don’t need to look outside of yourself to find peace and happiness… What if you already possess the power you need to heal and create the reality you want to see? What if we are all magical, powerful beings with unlimited potential? It’s a mind boggling thought…”
