Denver heavy metal band Khemmis have shared their recent in-studio performance for Seattle’s KEXP.
Filmed at KEXP’s Seattle studios, the session showcases the band’s blend of doom, melodic heavy metal and heavier extreme metal influences following the release of their latest studio album, Khemmis.

The session arrives after Khemmis released their self-titled fifth studio album earlier this year through Nuclear Blast Records. The eight-track effort marked the band’s first full-length since 2021’s Deceiver and includes the singles “Invocation of the Dreamer,” “Beneath the Scythe” and “Gilded Chambers.”
Khemmis will return to the road next week for a run of U.S. dates with Monolord, beginning August 27 at Thalia Hall in Chicago. The trek includes a September 3 stop at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, NY, along with appearances at RPM Fest, Labor Daze and Ripplefest.
The band will follow the U.S. run with their “Forsake The Light” European headline tour in October, with Celestial Sanctuary appearing on select dates.
