Living Weapon have released a new single, “Interspecies Quality Assessment,” from their upcoming album Death in the Family, due out digitally on August 14.
The crushing new track arrives alongside a music video filmed and produced by Eric Richter, Anthony Didio, and the band.
Death in the Family explores themes of mortality, meaninglessness, and the aftermath of existence. The album marks the band’s first time recording a full-length record internally, with tracking, production, and engineering handled by Jeremy Martin from fall 2025 through spring 2026. The record was then mixed by Taylor Young of The Pit Recording Studio and mastered by Nick Townsend.
