Living Weapon reveal new album ‘Death in the Family’, drop “The Leaving Process”

Living Weapon have announced their new full-length album, Death in the Family, due digitally on August 14, with physical editions to follow at a later date.

Spanning nine tracks in just over 23 minutes, the album explores themes of mortality, meaninglessness, and what remains after life, examining existence from beginning to end.

The band has also released the first single, “The Leaving Process,” which introduces the record’s central concept of life as connection rather than permanence.

Death in the Family was recorded, produced, and engineered by Jeremy Martin between fall 2025 and spring 2026, marking the band’s first full-length recorded entirely in-house. The album was mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio and mastered by Nick Townsend.
