Machine Head & Fear Factory deliver crushing performances in NYC (photos)

Bay Area metal giants Machine Head are currently on the first leg of their headlining ‘Slaughter The Martøur North America 2024’ tour, departing from their ‘An Evening With…’ format for the first time in a decade. The tour kicked off in San Francisco, CA on January 19th (which marked the band’s first hometown show since 2020), with dates scheduled through a final stop in Los Angeles, CA on February 24th. LA metal titans Fear Factory, Swedish melodic squad Orbit Culture, and Louisville death dealers Gates To Hell are providing support on the ongoing trek (get tickets here).

The outing crash landed in New York City at the Palladium Times Square on February 10th, where Machine Head unleashed 13 powerful tracks during their performance in the Big Apple. With commanding frontman Robb Flynn leading the charge, the band delivered powerhouse tracks such as “Imperium,” “Ten Ton Hammer,” “Locust,” and “Davidian.”

Supporting their latest album ‘Of Kingdom and Crown,’ Machine Head also pummeled NYC fans with blistering renditions of tracks “Choke on the Ashes of Your Hate,” “No Gods, No Masters,” and “Slaughter the Martyr.” The band concluded their set with the devastating track “Halo,” featured on their 2007 album ‘The Blackening.’

Fear Factory delivered a heavy-hitting 9-song set, including ear-piercing renditions of “Shock,” “Fuel Injected Suicide Machine,” “Demanufacture,” and “Replica.”

NYC fans who missed out on the band’s Irving Plaza show with Static-X back in March of 2023 were able to experience the dynamism of fresh vocalist Milo Silvestro of Dead Channel and Skill Gear fame. Silvestro, alongside touring musicians: bassist/Javier Arriaga (No Life on Earth) and drummer Peter Webb (Havok), plus legendary guitarist Dino Cazares, delivered a dominant performance.
