Nordic doom metal act Maunah have inked a multi-album deal with Prophecy Productions, with their debut studio album scheduled for release through the label later this year.
Maunah vocalist Søren Sol Koldsen-Zederkof comments on the signing, “We are a band made up of not-so-young musicians as all of us in Maunah have gathered quite some musical experience over the year. Then again, for us signing with Prophecy is a youthful dream come true. We are stoked about the exciting times ahead, and we are very much looking forward to exploring the art of heartfelt doom with such a strong partner as this label.”
Prophecy Productions founder Martin Koller adds, “We are all thrilled to welcome Maunah. The current musical market does hardly reward the signing of new acts. Yet in this case, listening to their digital EP resulted in changing from a sceptic mode to wanting to offer these exceptionally talented Danes a deal and inviting them to Prophecy Fest in less than ten minutes. Welcome!”
As Koller notes, Maunah have been confirmed to appear at this year’s Prophecy Fest and have also been invited to take part in Copenhagen Metal Fest.
