Chicago metal outfit Motherless will hit the road with fellow Chicagoans Porcupine for a nine-date run this October.
The tour kicks off October 16 in Chicago and makes its way through the Midwest and East Coast before wrapping up October 24 in Pittsburgh. Along the way, the two bands will stop in Indianapolis, Louisville, Columbus, Philadelphia, Worcester, Brooklyn and Washington, D.C.
“We couldn’t be more stoked to be out with our fellow Chicagoans in Porcupine and to hit the East Coast finally,” vocalist and rhythm guitarist Stavros Giannopoulos says.
Motherless will be touring behind their debut full-length, Do You Feel Safe?, released last fall through Prosthetic Records. The album was produced and mixed by Sanford Parker, with vocals produced by Giannopoulos and mastering handled by Brad Boatright.
The band brings together Giannopoulos and Alex Klein of The Atlas Moth with Gary Naples and Anthony Cwan of Without Waves, mixing sludge, punk and hardcore into a riff-heavy sound that the group sums up simply as: “No fog, no light show, just riffs.”
