Puscifer release new ‘Tales From The Pusciverse’ comic ‘Assimilation’

Puscifer are continuing to expand their strange little universe with the fourth issue of Tales From The Pusciverse.

Titled Tales From The Pusciverse #4: Assimilation, the new comic is available now and was written by Maynard James Keenan. This time around, the story follows the Synth Whisperer as he figures out how to bridge communication between silicon and carbon-based intelligence, bringing Bellendia and Fanny to life in the process.

Things start innocently enough, with the pair learning some of the finer points of being human — record shopping, bowling and baking among them. A routine diagnostic soon changes things, however, when the Briefcase gives the trio abilities that go well beyond simple communication. From there, their mission to “Observe. Integrate. Synthesize. Assimilate.” gets underway.

The issue features cover art by Gus Vasquez and Ross Campbell, interior artwork from Marlin Shoop, lettering by Jack Morelli and faux advertisements created by Andy Belanger.

The comic arrives as Puscifer continue supporting their latest album, Normal Isn’t, which is out now through Puscifer Entertainment/Alchemy Recordings/BMG.

The band will head overseas this fall for a European and UK tour beginning October 25 in Stockholm. After wrapping that run in Dublin on November 12, Puscifer will join A Perfect Circle for shows across Mexico, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan before finishing up in Honolulu on December 19.
