Swiss metal veterans Samael have released their new single, “Hail To The Sun,” continuing the band’s return to new music following last year’s “Black Matter Manifesto,” their first new song in eight years.
Described by the band as an anthem about overcoming adversity and embracing life’s opportunities, “Hail To The Sun” combines a heavy, driving rhythm with the dark atmosphere that has defined Samael’s sound for decades.

In troubled times, it is good to come together around something that is meaningful to us all… and what better thing than the sun, which is one but experienced differently by each of us? ‘Hail To The Sun’ is an anthem that will see you through the summer and keep you warm when winter comes. The song is about overcoming adversity and seizing life’s opportunities.
Formed in 1987, Samael have been active for nearly four decades, developing a sound that blends black metal, industrial, and symphonic elements across albums such as Worship Him and Passage.
“Hail To The Sun” is available now. The band will also appear at several European festivals and club shows throughout the summer and fall.
