Septicflesh’s Christos Antoniou to miss start of North American tour due to injury

Septicflesh guitarist Christos Antoniou will miss the beginning of the band’s upcoming North American tour after suffering fractured and broken ribs in a fall.

The band shared the update ahead of the tour, explaining that they will initially perform as a three-piece while Antoniou recovers.

“Unfortunately, due to a fall, Christos suffered fractured and broken ribs and will need some time to recover,” Septicflesh said. “We will take the stage as a three-piece, while Christos focuses on his recovery with the aim of rejoining the band later on the tour.”

Septicflesh’s North American run with Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Crypta and Thrown Into Exile kicks off October 5 in Riverside, California and runs through November 16 in Seattle.

The tour includes an October 24 stop at Palladium Times Square in New York City.
