Staind have released their new single, “Ghosts,” marking the band’s first new music since their 2023 album Confessions of the Fallen.
The track was produced by Erik Ron (Godsmack, Bad Omens, Papa Roach), who previously worked with the band.
“We went down to Nashville for a writing trip with Erik,” guitarist Mike Mushok said. “We had gotten together, and I came up with the riff on the spot. From there, Erik and I put the track together in just one day and finished it up.”
Vocalist Aaron Lewis added, “It’s a little different, and it surprised all of us. It’s got some heavy elements, but it’s certainly melodic too. It’s definitely STAIND.”
The release comes as Staind continue celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 2001 album Break the Cycle, which features hits including “It’s Been Awhile” and “Outside.”
The band will also return to the road in 2027 for another leg of their Break the Cycle 25th Anniversary Tour, with Seether, Hoobastank and Hinder providing support. Hinder will appear on all dates except Cleveland.
