SteelHeart have officially premiered the music video for their orchestral rendition of the Badfinger classic “Without You.”
The emotional performance showcases frontman Miljenko Matijevic backed by a 40-piece orchestra, bringing a cinematic new dimension to the timeless ballad. Originally recorded by Matijevic in 1996, the track remained unreleased for nearly three decades before finally being shared with fans earlier this month.
“I’ve waited 30 years to give you my version of ‘Without You,’” Matijevic previously said. “From the dust on tapes and CDs, to the digital world of today. Heartbreak never sounded so good.”
Best known through versions by Harry Nilsson and Mariah Carey, “Without You” now receives SteelHeart’s own dramatic interpretation as part of the band’s ongoing 30th anniversary celebration surrounding their self-titled debut album.
