Neurosis vocalist/guitarist Steve Von Till has announced a run of solo U.S. tour dates in support of his latest album, Alone in a World of Wounds, which was released last year through Neurot Recordings.
The tour kicks off on August 19 in Spokane, Washington, and includes stops in Oakland, Los Angeles, Pioneertown, Tucson, Albuquerque, Denver, and Salt Lake City. Von Till will be joined by Dave French on synths, bass, and percussion, and Brent Arnold on cello. Six Organs of Admittance will provide support on the tour.
Unlike the heavy sound of Neurosis, Alone in a World of Wounds leans into ambient, folk, and Americana influences, built around piano, synths, cello, and Von Till’s vocals. The album follows his 2021 solo release, No Wilderness Deep Enough.
Speaking about the project, Von Till said: “It is the transcendent nature of music, the cathartic healing process where I can leave everything behind and become one with sound. When you allow yourself to go beyond the ordinary you might be fortunate enough to find a moment where you are creating in alignment with the flow of the river of the universe.”
