Suicide Silence have announced their eighth studio album, Graceless, due out November 20. The band is offering a first taste of the record with its title track and an accompanying music video.
“Graceless” is a compact burst of the sound Suicide Silence have spent more than two decades developing, with the band keeping things direct rather than stretching the song beyond what it needs to be.
“This is the title track off our new record,” Suicide Silence said. “It’s a short ‘n’ sweet crusher that gives you a taste of what this record is all about. Check out our podcast where we go in detail about the song, video and album.”
For Graceless, Suicide Silence went back to the way they worked in their earlier days: writing together in a room, turning up the amps and letting songs take shape collectively.
Guitarist Chris Garza says the idea was to “just get out of the way and serve that band logo.”
“When we choose to do that, great things follow,” he adds. “We’re back to doing it exactly as we did it when we were kids: Just playing heavy shit and doing it from the heart.”
Graceless will be available digitally, on CD and across several vinyl variants, with pre-orders now underway.
Suicide Silence will hit the road ahead of the album’s release for their “Reminders of Hell” North American headlining tour with Emmure, AngelMaker and Synestia. The run starts November 6 in Riverside, California, with the album arriving in the middle of the trek on November 20.
New York gets a stop two days later, when the tour hits The Brooklyn Monarch on November 22. The run continues through December 13, wrapping up at 1720 in Los Angeles.
