Terrorizer vocalist Brian Werner has announced his departure from the Los Angeles-based death metal/grindcore band after joining the group in 2023.
Sharing the news on social media, Werner explained that the decision was not made due to any conflict within the band, but rather because of growing responsibilities within his business that require his full attention.
“This was not an easy decision. I have nothing but the utmost respect, appreciation, and brotherly love for everyone in the band, and I want to be clear that there is absolutely no animosity behind my departure.”
Werner continued: “With several critical projects underway, I simply cannot commit the time and focus needed to honor both my professional obligations and the band’s upcoming plans.”
Reflecting on his time with Terrorizer, Werner called the experience an incredible honor and a lifelong dream fulfilled, highlighting the opportunity to perform alongside drummer Pete Sandoval, bassist David Vincent, and guitarist Richie Brown.
“Playing with Terrorizer has been an incredible honor and a lifelong dream fulfilled. Sharing the stage with David Vincent and Pete Sandoval is something I’ll always be grateful for.”
Werner also thanked the band, crew, and fans for their support, adding that he wishes Terrorizer nothing but continued success and is proud to have been part of the band’s legacy.
At this time, Terrorizer have not announced a replacement vocalist or shared details regarding their upcoming plans.
