The Devil Wears Prada, Stray from the Path NYC photos

The Devil Wears Prada — consisting of Mike Hranica (vocals), Jeremy DePoyster (vocals, guitar), Mason Nagy (bass), Kyle Sipress (guitar), Jonathan Gering (keys, synthesizers), and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums) – are in the midst of their summer 2022 headline tour with Stray From the Path and Dying Wish in tow. The extensive run, dubbed ‘The Zombie Tour,’ kicked off in Milwaukee, WI on August 4th and is set to run through next month, coming to an end in Columbia, SC on September 10th.

The trek invaded New York City at Irving Plaza on Aug. 11th, and (as they’ve been doing all tour) saw The Devil Wears Prada dish out full renditions of their EPs ‘Zombie’ (2010) and ‘ZII’ (2021), performing fiendish tracks live “Escape,” “Outnumbered,” “Survivor,” “Nightfall,” “Termination,” and “Contagion.” The 21-song set was bookended by a collection of fan-favorites such as “Danger: Wildman,” “Born to Lose,” “Chemical,” “Hey John, What’s Your Name Again?,” “Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over” and “Mammoth.” Check out photos from NYC at the end of this post.

“With live music back in full swing, we knew we had to come out this summer with a bang,” said DePoyster prior to the start of the outing. “Playing both Zombie EPs front-to-back was a no-brainer, and we can’t wait to bring the heavy every night. We’re also tossing in some of our oldest and newest favorites as well, so do not miss this undead summer party. It’s going to be nuts.”

“It’s going to be amazing playing through ZII — the songs were born during lockdown, so we’ve yet to play most of these tunes live,” added Hranica. “The original Zombie EP is a proud and fundamental component to our band, combined with support from Stray and Dying Wish, is all going to make for an excellent tour, and there’ll be even more news to come! I can confidently say this will be a summer run to remember.”
