The Dillinger Escape Plan announce reissue of original EP on cassette and streaming

The Dillinger Escape Plan have announced a limited cassette reissue of their original self-titled EP, featuring newly remastered audio. The recording will also become available on streaming platforms on November 13.

Originally recorded in April 1997, the EP predates the band’s 1999 debut full-length, Calculating Infinity, and has been difficult to find through official channels in recent years.

The new cassette edition features a 2026 remaster of the original recordings, pressed on translucent purple tape with artwork and packaging reflecting the band’s early years.

Announcing the release on social media, The Dillinger Escape Plan wrote: “For the first time in a long time our very original EP is available, that until now was only able to be heard if you knew how to find it.”

The band confirmed that a limited number of cassettes will be available at their remaining US concerts, with an additional limited quantity going on sale online November 13. The remastered audio will arrive on streaming services the same day.

The announcement comes as The Dillinger Escape Plan continue their reunion performances celebrating the 25th anniversary of Calculating Infinity, with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis returning to the lineup.

The group also reminded fans that tickets for their remaining shows are currently on sale, with Portland next on their itinerary.
