German heavy metal outfit The Night Eternal have released “Caught In A Spell,” the latest single and music video from their upcoming album, Cold Velvet, due out August 21 via Metal Blade Records.
Describing the track, the band said: “‘Caught In A Spell’ delivers the perfect heavy metal soundtrack for a night drive. Driven by a hypnotic groove and a powerful sing-along chorus, the song evokes images of endless highways and a restless sense of wanderlust, pulling the listener towards the unknown.”
The accompanying video, directed by Robert Piel, follows “a Harley-Davidson-riding knight through a cinematic road-movie journey,” expanding on the song’s themes.
Cold Velvet marks the band’s Metal Blade debut and follows 2021’s Moonlit Cross and 2023’s Fatale. Recorded between May and December 2025 at Church of Sound Studios in Germany, the album was produced, recorded, and mixed by Michael Zech (Secrets of the Moon).
The Night Eternal will celebrate the album’s release with a series of German release shows in August before heading out on a European tour this fall, including dates supporting Messa.
