Original post…

New York City’s Webster Hall have issued an update regarding the status of the venue, and the announcement of the postponement of all shows through the end of May due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

They say:

We’re all in this together.

All of us are constantly monitoring the ever-changing situation with regard to COVID-19. As part of the community, we’re sad that we can’t do what we do best…host some great nights of live music. We know what an emotional uplift music provides at times like this. But what’s most important for right now is for us to follow all guidelines regarding large gatherings — mandated or recommended — until we are told it’s safe to re-open. We need to do our part as good neighbors to help lessen the impact of the coronavirus. Right now all of our shows through the end of May are officially postponed, but governmental timelines at all levels are constantly being reassessed, so unfortunately ours remains fluid while all of this progresses.

We’re still hoping that we are able to reschedule as many of the postponed events as possible, so hold onto your tickets! They will be valid for rescheduled dates. We know you have questions about refunds for rescheduled shows, and we’re working through that too. We’re in uncharted waters, so give us a minute and continue to check back here for more info as we have it; this is where we will be making any announcements.

Hang in there and stay safe, everyone. We miss you all and can’t wait to see you again!

Metal and rock shows affected include the (previously cancelled) Decibel Magazine Tour (Mayhem, Abbath) stop, plus Thundercat, Brian Fallon & The Howling Weather, The Driver Era, Supergrass, and The Darkness (also previously postponed) shows (and more). The Palaye Royale and the Apocalyptica / Lacuna Coil shows are still listed as being on-sale, as of this posting. The Palaye Royale and Apocalyptica / Lacuna Coil shows have been postponed, as well.

Stay tuned.
