YOB have announced three Pacific Northwest shows for December, marking their first scheduled performances following the cancellation of several appearances due to guitarist and vocalist Mike Scheidt’s health issues.
The Oregon doom metal band will kick off the short run on December 17 at Revolution Hall in Portland, followed by a December 18 performance at WOW Hall in Eugene. Wayfarer will provide support at both shows. The trek concludes December 19 at Rain City Doom Fest at El Corazon in Seattle.
“We are excited to announce 3 shows to wind out 2026 here in the PNW!” the band wrote on social media.
The announcement follows YOB’s recent cancellation of appearances at Ripple Fest, Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, Soulcrusher in the Netherlands and Smoke The Fuzz in Greece.
At the time, the band revealed that Scheidt had been diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis after experiencing nerve pain and difficulty using his left arm and hand. An MRI identified calcium deposits compressing a nerve, with Scheidt explaining that surgery was likely as the band awaited further medical information.
YOB have not provided a new update on Scheidt’s treatment or recovery in their latest announcement.
