A Killer’s Confession share stripped-down cover of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights”

A Killer’s Confession have released their new single “Blinding Lights,” a stripped-down cover of The Weeknd’s global hit.

The band, led by former Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis, take the song in a different direction from their usual heavier sound, putting more focus on the melody and Reavis’ vocals.

Reavis said the idea came after the response to the band’s cover of Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box,” but this time he wanted to tackle a song from a completely different genre.

“I always enjoy the song, ‘Blinding Lights’ just something catchy and haunting about it,” Reavis said. “I feel like it could be the perfect song to be stuck in our character’s head for the last time ever as we end this trilogy.”

“Blinding Lights” arrives ahead of A Killer’s Confession’s sixth studio album, Victim 3, due out this fall via MNRK Heavy.

The band will also hit the road this fall for the “Everything Comes Full Circle Tour” with Dizasterpiece and Dead Things.
