Quebec duo Angine de Poitrine have teamed up with Deadmau5 for a new remix of “Fabienk,” the opening track from their latest album, Vol. II.
Deadmau5 has been playing his version of the track during recent live sets, and the studio remix is now available.
“Fabienk” originally appears on Vol. II, which was released earlier this year. The song is built around Angine de Poitrine’s distinctive microtonal guitar and looping approach, combining elements of rock, acid techno and disco.
The remix arrives as Angine de Poitrine continue their first-ever U.S. tour. The completely sold-out run kicked off this week following the duo’s U.S. live debut at the Newport Jazz Festival and continues through December, with multiple dates in cities including Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, Chicago, Minneapolis and Seattle selling out.
