Austrian blackened death metal veterans Belphegor have announced that recording is complete on their 13th studio album, which is slated for release in the first quarter of 2027 via Reigning Phoenix Music.
The announcement arrived today via the band’s latest press release and on their social media, confirming the recording process has wrapped while teasing what fans can expect from the upcoming effort.
Frontman Helmuth states: “Finally, the musick-al process is complete. Rooted in our unmistakable vision, the glorification of the Devil. The nine tracks are a ceremonial invocation of pure Black Death Metal!”
While the album’s title, artwork, and exact release date remain under wraps, Belphegor are encouraging fans to revisit the first two singles released from the forthcoming effort: “Sanctus Diaboli Confidimus,” which arrived in August 2025, and “Scarlet Beast – Leviathan,” released in February 2026. In addition to the upcoming album, Belphegor are preparing to return to the road this fall on their previously announced “Praise The Beast” European tour 2026. The trek launches September 29 in Essen, Germany, and concludes October 18 in London, England, with special guests Krisiun and Asagraum. A fourth band is expected to be announced at a later date.
