Rock band Black Map have announced that they are calling it quits after 14 years together.
The group confirmed the news in a statement shared on social media, reflecting on their time together and thanking fans for their support.
“After a lot of years, a lot of miles, and a lot of music, Black Map is calling it a day,” the band wrote.
Looking back on their career, Black Map noted that they performed more than 300 shows across 40 U.S. states and seven countries, released several records and shared the stage with numerous other artists.
“This band has been a huge part of our lives for the last 14 years, and we feel incredibly fortunate what we’ve accomplished together,” the group continued. “More than anything, we met a lot of great people and made memories that will stay with us forever.”
The band concluded their statement by thanking those who attended their shows and supported their music over the years.
“To everyone who came to a show and met us, sang along, — thank you for caring about Black Map and making it all possible. It meant more to us than you know.”
Black Map did not provide a specific reason for their decision to disband or announce any farewell performances.
