Gloryhammer release “Starfighters of Leuchars” video ahead of new album

Power metal band Gloryhammer have released a new single, “Starfighters of Leuchars,” accompanied by an animated music video.

The track appears on the band’s upcoming fifth studio album, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath, due out October 16 through Napalm Records.

“Starfighters of Leuchars” introduces a group of ace pilots who join Angus McFife V in his quest to save the universe, continuing the album’s science-fiction storyline.

“Mighty warriors! Set H-foils to attack position. You may Hoot when ready,” the band said of the new song.

Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath serves as a direct sequel to Gloryhammer’s 2015 album Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards. The 11-track record follows Angus McFife V on a journey through space and time, continuing the band’s ongoing fictional saga.

The album was produced by Gloryhammer and mixed by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe). It also includes the previously released single “On a Quest for Aberdeen.”

Gloryhammer will begin their European and UK album release tour on October 16 in Toulouse, France, with support from Majestica and Arion. The trek concludes November 22 in Glasgow, Scotland.
