Japanse noise makers Boris have uploaded a super cool video for their track “満ち草 -michikusa-” from their latest album ‘fade’ (released this past December). The clip is a collaboration with award-winning director/animator Nalani Williams — check it out below.
Here’s more info from the video reveal, “The animated work is a depiction of an expanded surrealistic world visualizing a song off of boris’s most recent album, fade, which is the third album they released last year for their 30th anniversary as a band. The video is a work of art made using scrupulous frame-by-frame stop motion animation.”
They add, “The video imagery was made seamlessly with various techniques such as stop motion, hand-drawn animation and painting, conjures up a heteromorphic new world synchronizing with Boris, a band whose sound freely traverses genres.”
In addition, ‘fade’ will be released on double LP, 180g vinyl format in pink (limited to 500 copies) and black (1000 copies) variants with laminated gatefold jacket manufactured by Third Man Pressing, released by fangsanalsata and available for purchase through Sacred Bones.
