In addition, organizers released the following statement via social media earlier today:
Tag the band you’re most excited to see and the friend (or friends) you’re most thrilled to hang with.
Then read on for a bit of a heartfelt honor.
When life hands you 2020, you Furnace Fest 2021.
It’s cheesy, but the phrase rings true now more than ever.A few months ago, I struggled to see how we would move forward, how we’d ever come out of this. Life felt dark and heavy. Some of our friends around the world are experiencing this now.
The level of time, energy, frustration, and patience required from fans, artists, agents, managers, and everyone behind the scenes has NEVER gone unnoticed to us.
We honor every single one of you for staying with us, encouraging us, being so gracious toward us, suggesting the incredible bands that make up this line-up, and affording us the joy of being silly young promoters again.
We honor all of you in countries where the light doesn’t seem to be breaking in yet. Our prayers and hope are with you. You are not alone, we see you, and your struggle matters.
Do not lose heart.
Honor doesn’t seem to capture all that we feel, but hopefully, the ninety names on this flyer show how grateful we are for you.
See you in September.
– Chad Johnson, Johnny Grimes, Mike Ziemer, Ryan Luther
