Detroit hard rock band Eva Under Fire have released their new single, “Starshine,” along with an accompanying music video. The track arrives through Better Noise Music following the band’s recent summer and fall tour supporting Five Finger Death Punch.
The song reflects on the emotional aftermath of touring, with vocalist Amanda Lyberg drawing inspiration from the band’s experiences performing across the United States over the past several months.
“When you’re up at 3am and can’t sleep because something feels off… that’s the ‘Starshine,'” Lyberg explained. “Reflecting on how amazing this tour has been, I felt the song was a really great description of those post-tour blues.”
She continued, “We wanted something that would serve as a nod to the tour, the incredible people we met and all our memories made along the way. ‘Starshine’ is like the superpower we discovered being on a massive tour testing ourselves on the biggest stages across the US. It’s changed us. It keeps us up at night. Normal life will never feel the same, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“Starshine” follows the release of Eva Under Fire’s 2026 album, Villainous, which features a collaboration with In This Moment vocalist Maria Brink.
The band spent much of the year touring with Five Finger Death Punch, performing at arenas and amphitheaters across the country.
Eva Under Fire previously released their debut album, Love, Drugs & Misery, in 2022 through Better Noise Music. The record included “Blow,” featuring Ice Nine Kills vocalist Spencer Charnas, while its deluxe edition featured “Unstoppable,” a collaboration with Cory Marks.
In addition to her music career, Lyberg works as a licensed psychotherapist specializing in trauma, grief and addiction recovery, experiences that have influenced her songwriting.
Additional Eva Under Fire tour dates and announcements are expected in the coming months.
