Goregäng drop White Zombie video cover, “Electric Head, Part 1 (The Agony)”

Florida death metallers Goregäng – consisting of Jeramie Kling (Inhuman Condition, Venom Inc., The Absence) on vocals and guitar, and Taylor Nordberg (Inhuman Condition, The Absence) on drums, guitars and bass – have dropped their new single, a cover of the White Zombie track “Electric Head, Part 1 (The Agony),” which you can stream below in official music video form.

The song appears on the band’s upcoming ‘Long Live The Grime’ EP, which will release digitally on Blood Blast Distribution and via CD/CD boxset on Kling and Nordberg’s Listenable Insanity Records on April 30, 2021 (pre-order). If you haven’t already, listen to the title-track, which was released earlier this month.

Speaking on the new cover tune, Nordberg says, “I don’t think there was a whole lot of planning went into the cover. Most of our ideas come to life really quick. I think I had a passing idea that it would be cool to cover with this band, then I think I just pumped the music out and surprised Jeramie, then the next day we just had a blast coming up with all the sound effects and noises for the song, and laying down the vocals. We wanted to do a super 90’s style video for the song as well, just something fun, and I think we nailed it. Old horror movies, dancers, aviator sunglasses…classic Zombie!

The video was directed and edited by Deidra Kling in Spring Hill, Florida, meanwhile the impending EP was written and recorded by Kling and Nordberg at their very own Smoke & Mirrors Productions, where it was also mixed by Kling and mastered by Nordberg.
