Rochester, New York-based psychedelic rock trio King Buffalo have released a music video for their new single “Vagabond,” the second track shared from their upcoming album Doomsayer, due December 4.
The video was filmed at the band’s newly constructed recording studio in Rochester, where they also recorded the album.
“‘Vagabond’ was recorded in our new studio space, so it felt fitting to have the video take place there too,” drummer Scott Donaldson explained. “It’s been a long road getting the space to where it is today, and there’s still plenty to do.”
He added that the band designed the space to function as both a recording studio and a location for filming videos.
“Vagabond” follows the previously released single “The Slick and The Dead,” offering another preview of the seven-track album.
According to guitarist and vocalist Sean Roa, who also produced and mixed the record, Doomsayer began taking shape during jam sessions in early 2026.
“We didn’t really have an end goal in mind of what we were going for,” Roa said. “We were simply exploring ideas and seeing what ended up speaking to us the most.”
He continued, “So much has happened, both as a band and in our personal lives since our last record, that ended up becoming the inspiration to many of the lyrics on Doomsayer. I think as a result, this is some of our most upfront, direct and riff-driven work to date.”
Doomsayer follows the band’s 2022 album Regenerator and features artwork by See Machine. Pre-orders are available through the band’s official website.
King Buffalo will launch a North American tour on October 29 in Boulder, Colorado, with support from L.A. Witch, Doom Gong and Handsome Jack on select dates. The band also has a European tour scheduled for March 2027.
