LGND – the project of vocalist Chad Ruhlig (For The Fallen Dreams) and a collection of different musicians and producers – has posted a new song dubbed “Spite Me” (featuring Andrew Tkaczyk of The Ghost Inside) — stream the track below.
“Writing ‘Spite Me’ with one of my closest friends of nearly 20 years was one of those surreal full circle moments for Andrew and I,” says Ruhlig. “We got our start in music together and we were able to join forces again for a crushingly heavy track that expresses lots of emotion lyrically and sonically. I am extremely proud of how it turned out and our journey that led us back to writing together again.”
“LGND — one of heavy music’s best kept secrets for well over a decade — stands the test of time in a space filled with constant change,” adds a press release. “Forming in 2009, the project has successfully survived without actively touring throughout much of their existence. Blending a unique style of aggressive metal, thrash, and early flavors of nu metal, LGND push the envelope continually.”
“Six different writers/producers and a lot of trust went into this release,” Ruhlig previously stated about the project’s scope. “I’m extremely proud of how everything came out and can’t wait for you all to hear what we did. Times are changing, so are we.”
LGND is said to be working on additional tracks with members of Attila, The Browning, and more, as well as other producers. Stay tuned for more info.
