Moonspell have dropped off Cradle of Filth’s upcoming “Majestic in Death II” North American tour due to visa issues, with Blackbraid stepping in to take their place.
According to Moonspell, the band’s visas won’t be processed in time for the run, which is scheduled to begin September 29 in San Diego.
“With broken hearts, we must announce that Moonspell will have to sit out this tour, as our visas cannot be processed in time,” the band said. “We know many of you were looking forward to seeing us, and we share your disappointment.”
Moonspell added that they and their agent are already working on plans to return to North America in 2027.
Blackbraid will now join Cradle of Filth alongside previously announced support acts Worm and Black Satellite. The tour includes select songs from Cradle of Filth’s Dusk… And Her Embrace in celebration of the album’s 30th anniversary.
The run includes several New York-area stops, including Norwalk, Connecticut on October 16, Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey on October 17 and Warsaw in Brooklyn on October 22.
