German technical death metal band Obscura have announced the cancellation of their remaining three shows in Mexico, citing logistical and organizational issues involving the tour promoter.
The affected performances were scheduled to take place in Mexico City, Monterrey and Durango. The cancellations follow five completed shows in the country.
In a statement shared on social media, the band explained:
“Following five successful shows and a warm welcome from our loyal Mexican fans, we regret to announce the cancellation of the remaining three dates in Mexico City, Monterrey and Durango.
“Due to the promoter’s failure to meet essential logistical and organizational obligations, we are unable to proceed with these shows as planned.”
Obscura also confirmed that they are working to reschedule all three concerts for 2027 with a different local partner, although no replacement dates have been announced.
“We are working to reschedule all three concerts for 2027 under better circumstances and with a different local partner,” the band continued.
Fans who purchased tickets for the canceled performances are advised to contact their original point of purchase for refunds.
Obscura closed their statement by thanking fans for their understanding and continued support, adding that they look forward to returning to Mexico soon.
