Orbit Culture have released “Nuclear God,” a new single taken from the upcoming deluxe edition of their latest album, Death Above Life.
The track originally appeared as a bonus song on the Japanese edition of Death Above Life, but is now getting a wider release along with a new video built from footage captured during the band’s recent summer festival appearances.
“‘Nuclear God’ was originally released as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of Death Above Life,” the band explains. “When we started going through all the footage we had gathered from the summer festivals, we wanted to turn it into something that felt like a tribute to our fans and the community that has grown around this band.”
They add, “The relentless chaos of ‘Nuclear God’ perfectly matched those moments. Riivata took all of that footage and brought it together into the video you see today.”
Death Above Life (Deluxe Edition) arrives October 9 and expands the album with four additional tracks. Physical editions include a 40-page booklet filled with live and behind-the-scenes photos pulled from the band’s archives.
Orbit Culture will keep busy on the road following the release. They’ll first head across Europe with Amon Amarth and Soilwork on “The Allfather Awakens Tour” before joining Trivium, In Flames and Frozen Soul for the second leg of “The Crown in the Grave Tour” in North America.
The latter run kicks off November 20 in Royal Oak, Michigan and continues through December 19 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
