Queens of the Stone Age have revealed the title of their next studio album, Perfecth, while teasing a possible September 30 release date.
The band shared a short video over the weekend starring frontman Josh Homme and guitarist/keyboardist Dean Fertita playing a game of five-finger fillet. Fertita makes it through his turn, while Homme eventually ends up stabbing himself in the hand.
Before things get bloody, Fertita asks Homme when the new record is coming out, with Homme responding, “September 30th, I think.”
A voice-over at the end of the clip announces Perfecth as the new Queens of the Stone Age album and again gives September 30 as the release date. However, the date is crossed out in the final moments of the video and replaced with “coming soon,” leaving the album’s actual arrival date unclear.
Perfecth will follow the band’s 2023 album, In Times New Roman…
The announcement also comes after Queens of the Stone Age released their new single “Easy Street” last month, featuring country singer-songwriter Nikki Lane.
Further details on Perfecth, including its tracklisting and confirmed release date, have yet to be revealed.
