Rumor/Report: Coachella 2020 being postponed until the fall

Various music news sites/blogs are reporting that this year’s Coachella festival in Indio, CA is being postponed until the fall due to the ongoing concerns over Coronavirus.

Initially scheduled for April 10 – 12 and April 17 – 19, the gathering is now reportedly happening October 9 – 11 and Oct. 16 – 18.

I can now CONFIRM #Coachella WILL be postponed until October 9th and 16th due to #coronavirus concerns.

Lineup will attempt to remain the same, but moving a festival this size isn’t easy.

They are currently working with artists and an official announcement is in the works.

Officials with promoter Goldenvoice are working on a plan to try and move the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California, to the weekends of Oct. 9 and Oct. 16 in an attempt to save the event from cancellation amid concerns about the coronavirus outbreak, according to high level sources.

Coachella themselves have not released a statement regarding the issue.

Coachella 2020’s lineup includes the likes of Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott, Frank Ocean, Calvin Harris, Thom Yorke, Run The Jewels and more. Full lineup below.
