Chicago hard rock band SOiL have signed a new record deal with Better Noise Music and released a new single, “Enemy X,” accompanied by an official lyric video.
The track marks the band’s first release under their new label partnership and serves as a preview of their next studio album, which is expected to arrive in 2027.
Speaking about the new song, bassist Tim King explained: “‘Enemy X’ is a song that is a voice for everything going on in the world today. The turmoil, the fighting, the finger pointing, the negatives. So many people focus on the drama and negative aspects of life that they lose sight of the important things.”
King added that the song encourages listeners to reflect on their actions and the divisions around them.
Regarding the band’s new label deal, King stated that SOiL are excited to work with Better Noise Music and look forward to releasing their upcoming material.
Formed in 1997, SOiL have released seven studio albums and sold more than two million records worldwide. The band is known for songs including “Halo,” “Unreal,” “Redefine” and “Shine On.” Their most recent release, Play It Forward, arrived in 2023 and featured covers of songs by White Zombie, Motörhead, the Ramones and Halsey.
SOiL’s current lineup consists of Ryan McCombs (vocals), Tim King (bass), Adam Zadel (guitar) and TJ Taylor (drums).
The band will also tour the UK with Finger Eleven beginning October 30 in Brighton. The 15-date run concludes November 15 in Margate.
