Till Lindemann New York City Pier 17 recap and photos

Rammstein singer Till Lindemann is currently on his first-ever solo tour across America with his band, featuring guitarists Jes Paige and Emily Ruvidich, bassist Danny Lohner (ex-Nine Inch Nails, ex-A Perfect Circle), keyboardist Constance Day, and drummer Joe Letz (Combichrist). The tour kicked off in San Antonio, TX, on September 17th and will conclude with a final show at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA, on October 14th. On Tuesday, October 1st, the tour stopped at New York City’s premiere open-air concert venue, The Rooftop at Pier 17.

Draped in blood-red, Lindemann and his band took the stage at around 8:30 PM, kicking off their set with the title track from Lindemann’s debut solo album Zunge, released in November 2023. The band continued to perform several other tracks from Zunge throughout the night, including “Schweiss,” “Altes Fleisch,” “Sport frei,” “Du hast kein Herz,” and their set closer, “Ich hasse Kinder.”

Set against the mesmerizing backdrop of the Manhattan skyline, Lindemann and his band delivered a powerful performance, enhanced by heavy riffs and provocative visuals projected behind them. The setlist included standout tracks from his earlier self-titled collaboration with Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Pain), who left the project in 2020. Highlights of the night featured fan favorites such as “Fat,” “Allesfresser,” “Golden Shower,” “Praise Abort,” and “Knebel.” As part of the encore, the band thrilled the audience with a cover of “Entre dos tierras,” a classic by the legendary Spanish rock band Héroes del Silencio.

Twin Temple provided direct support for the evening, energizing the crowd with their catchy satanic doo-wop tunes such as “The Devil (Didn’t Make Me Do It),” “Be a Slut,” “Let’s Have a Satanic Orgy,” and “Satan’s a Woman.” Meanwhile, dark electro outfit Aesthetic Perfection got the audience’s blood pumping early with head-pounding tracks like “Gods & Gold,” “Summer Goth,” and “Love Like Lies.”
