Whitechapel have released a new music video for “Bedlam,” a track from their latest album, Hymns In Dissonance, which arrived in 2025 through Metal Blade Records.
The song continues the storyline introduced on the band’s 2008 album This Is Exile, focusing on a character named Daemon, also known as Craig, and his resentment toward his brother, a cult leader.
Vocalist Phil Bozeman explained that the track explores the character’s jealousy and his disturbing treatment of his deceased brother.
“This is the point of view of him and his dead brother, who is eternally trapped in his own dead body and can still feel and hear everything but cannot move or escape,” Bozeman said.
“‘Bedlam’ is chaos, confusion, and turmoil which describes this scene,” he added.
The video arrives ahead of Whitechapel’s 20th anniversary North American headlining tour, which begins November 11 in Atlanta and concludes December 19 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The band will perform material spanning its entire discography, with support from Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain and Netherwalker.
Whitechapel will then head to Europe in January 2027 for another run of dates alongside Sylosis, 200 Stab Wounds and Tribal Gaze. Select performances will feature co-headlining sets with Sylosis.
Hymns In Dissonance was released in spring 2025 and reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Current Hard Rock Albums chart, No. 3 on the Independent Label Current Albums chart and No. 4 on the Current Rock Albums chart.
