Whitesnake’s David Coverdale to undergo bilateral inguinal hernia surgery (shows cancelled)

Whitesnake mainman David Coverdale has announced the cancellation of all upcoming tours/shows, so that he may undergo bilateral inguinal hernia surgery.

Via his socials, Coverdale states:

Tour Cancellation Statement March 23rd 2020

Once again it breaks my heart to be the bearer of even more sad news affecting
Whitesnake’s touring schedule for this increasingly challenging year, 2020.

All tours, Europe, UK & US, are being cancelled owing to health issues, related specifically
to a bilateral inguinal hernia requiring me to have surgery.

At this time, I can only offer You & my amazing musicians in Whitesnake & our crew my love
& my sincere apologies & also my regrets to my friends in Foreigner, Europe & Sammy Hagar
for this unforeseen personal health issue, which I will have addressed at the first possible
opportunity.

Until then, I send my love to you & yours & hopefully we will meet again along the road.

March 23rd 2020

Just earlier this month, Whitesnake announced the postponement of their Japanese tour, due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19.

Of the matter, the band said:

We regret to announce that WHITESNAKE’S Japan Tour which had been scheduled for March has been unavoidably postponed due to the ongoing threat of the Coronavirus.

Currently, we are working on rescheduling the dates. Your purchased tickets for the original dates will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Please ensure you keep your tickets safe. For those customers who wish to receive a refund, we will announce details of the refund process once we announce the rescheduled dates.

We deeply apologize to all parties concerned especially those customers who bought tickets and have been looking forward to the WHITESNAKE shows.
