AC/DC have rescheduled their MetLife Stadium concert for Friday, October 2 after severe winds forced tonight’s show to be called off.
The band were originally scheduled to perform at the East Rutherford, New Jersey stadium tonight, September 25, as part of their PWR/UP Tour. Earlier Friday, MetLife Stadium announced that the concert would not take place due to severe wind warnings across the New York and New Jersey area.
MetLife has now confirmed that the show will instead take place October 2.
“Tonight’s AC/DC show at MetLife Stadium has been rescheduled to Friday, October 2 due to incoming inclement weather,” the stadium announced.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date. Ticket holders will also receive an email with additional information.
The decision to postpone the original show was made by public safety authorities in consultation with weather experts, with MetLife citing the safety of fans and everyone involved in the concert.
The Pretty Reckless were scheduled to support AC/DC at the show.
