AC/DC’s scheduled concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey tonight, September 25, will not take place due to severe wind warnings in the New York and New Jersey area.
MetLife Stadium announced the news Friday afternoon, saying the decision was made by public safety authorities in consultation with weather experts.
“Due to the severe wind warnings in place for the NY / NJ area this evening, the AC/DC concert at MetLife Stadium will not take place tonight,” the stadium said.
“This decision was made by Public Safety authorities in consultation with weather experts to prioritize the safety of fans and all those involved in the show.
“Additional information will be released shortly.”
The show was part of AC/DC’s ongoing PWR/UP Tour and was set to feature The Pretty Reckless as support.
It is not yet clear whether the concert will be rescheduled or canceled outright. Additional information is expected to be announced shortly.
The MetLife Stadium date was scheduled to be AC/DC’s first concert in the New York City area since 2016 and one of the final stops of the band’s 2026 North American tour.
The announcement comes just over a week after AC/DC’s September 16 concert at Rogers Stadium in Toronto was canceled following severe weather that caused damage to portions of the venue.
AC/DC are currently scheduled to conclude the North American leg of the PWR/UP Tour on September 29 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
UPDATE: The show has been rescheduled to October 2.
