New York black metal outfit Krallice have released “Kill The Guardian,” the latest single from their forthcoming studio album, Scour Order, due out September 18 via Profound Lore Records (pre-order).
“Kill The Guardian” follows the previously released “Living Useless Ritual” and is one of two songs on the new record featuring vocal verses from all three of the band’s vocalists.
Krallice cofounder Colin Marston comments: “‘Kill The Guardian’ is the other song on the record where all three of us have vocal verses. It was initiated by Mick and collaboratively arranged. We call this song ‘porridger.’ It’s soupy and nutritious. Thanks to Walter, Becky, and all at Roadburn for commissioning the new music on this album!”
Scour Order sees Krallice returning to an earlier instrumental configuration, with Marston and Mick Barr on guitars and Nicholas McMaster on bass, while retaining some of the expanded vocal approach developed during the band’s more recent releases.
The album also marks Krallice’s return to Profound Lore Records, which released the band’s first three albums. Scour Order follows a lengthy stretch of self-released material, with additional support over the years from Gilead Media and P2.
The eight-track record was originally commissioned by Roadburn, where the new material received its live debut at the festival earlier this year.

Following the album’s release, Krallice will embark on their first-ever European tour. The month-long run begins October 8 in Helsinki, Finland and concludes November 7 with an appearance at Damnation Festival in Manchester, UK.
