Queens of the Stone Age have released their new single “Insignificant Other,” along with an accompanying lyric video.
The track appears on the band’s recently revealed ninth studio album, Perfecth, which they’ve also finally confirmed will arrive on October 30 via Matador Records.
The confirmed date clears up some of the mystery surrounding the album’s arrival. When Queens of the Stone Age first revealed Perfecth, a teaser starring Josh Homme and Dean Fertita playing a game of five-finger fillet appeared to suggest a September 30 release. However, that date was crossed out and replaced with “coming soon” at the end of the clip.
“Insignificant Other” follows the previously released “Easy Street,” featuring country singer-songwriter Nikki Lane, and serves as the latest preview of Perfecth. The new album follows Queens of the Stone Age’s 2023 effort, In Times New Roman….
Queens of the Stone Age have also unveiled a new comedic “Big Chongus” promo clip featuring several of the band members’ pets. Directed and produced by Chapman Baehler, the video follows Big Chongus on the search for a “Perfecth” home.
