Slipknot share behind-the-scenes “Arsenal” footage

Slipknot have shared a behind-the-scenes look at the recording of their latest song, “Arsenal.”

The newly posted clip offers footage from the studio sessions that produced the track, which arrived on September 9 as Slipknot’s first new song in more than three years.

“Arsenal” was released as a standalone single alongside a music video directed by percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan and starring actor Jackson White.

Guitarist Jim Root recently confirmed that the song won’t appear on Slipknot’s next album, explaining that it was one the band could finish relatively quickly while work continues on the rest of the record.

“‘Arsenal’ was a tune we could quickly get out there while we work on the rest of the record,” Root wrote in response to a fan. “It’s not really representative of the other tunes.”

Slipknot have yet to reveal a title, release date or other details for their next album.
