Slipknot appear to be heading to Wembley Stadium in London as part of what is shaping up to be a major new tour announcement.
Wembley Stadium joined the band’s ongoing teaser campaign on Sunday, September 27, sharing an image featuring Slipknot’s “S” logo engulfed in flames alongside the date “09.28.26.”
The stadium added another unmistakable Slipknot reference in the caption, writing simply, “If you’re 555…” — a reference to the lyric “If you’re 555, then I’m 666” from the band’s 2001 track “The Heretic Anthem.”
While Wembley stopped short of explicitly announcing a Slipknot concert, the post strongly suggests that the London stadium will be involved in whatever the band plans to reveal on Monday, September 28. Wembley also appears to be the first major venue to directly join Slipknot’s ongoing teaser campaign.
The Wembley post follows a mysterious campaign that has been unfolding over the past week, with Slipknot-branded posters appearing in cities around the world. Locations teased so far include New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, Hershey, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Mexico City, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Santiago and London.
The posters have directed fans to a Slipknot teaser website pointing toward September 28, fueling speculation that a larger tour announcement is imminent.
Despite the cities being teased, individual concert dates and venues have yet to be officially announced. Wembley Stadium’s involvement now provides the strongest indication yet of a specific venue connected to the campaign, though full details are expected to arrive September 28.
The activity comes shortly after Slipknot released their new standalone single “Arsenal.” The band are also working on their eighth studio album with producer Matt Wallace, though guitarist Jim Root has said “Arsenal” will not appear on the record.
Stay tuned for the full announcement.
