Soulfly, Toxic Holocaust & Sergio Michel live at Saint Vitus (photos)

Tribal metal legends Soulfly brought their soon-to-end ‘The Summoning North American 2020 Tour’ to New York City at the super intimate Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn for two sold-out evenings: February 29 and March 2.

Led by metal titan Max Cavalera, the Brazilian export performed a 17-song set during their display on 3/2 (added due to popular demand), igniting the show with huge favorites “Jumpdafuckup / Eye for an Eye” and “Fire / Porrada.” The band would go on to perform big hits like “Back to the Primitive,” “Rise of the Fallen,” “”No Hope = No Fear,” “Blood Fire War Hate” and even “Ritual” off their latest LP of the same name. Thrown in towards the end of the set, Soulfly would also treat fans to a cover of the popular The Wailers’s song “Get Up, Stand Up.”

Check out our gallery from the evening, which also includes shots of Toxic Holocaust and local shredder Sergio Michel, below.

Soulfly’s North American run concludes in Houston, TX at Warehouse Live on March 12 (see all remaining dates).
